The conference will be held at Håndverkeren Conference Center (pictured below) in Rosenkrantz' gate 7. The conference site is located in downtown Oslo, close to the Royal Castle (Slottet) and Karl Johans gate shopping street.

Accomodation

One of our key goals for the Symposium is to foster community across professional fields and national borders. To support this, we've arranged special accommodation options at Thon Hotel Europa and Scandic Hotel St. Olavs Plass, both conveniently located less than 10 minutes from our venue.

The Thon Hotel Europa is placed conveniently next to the Royal Palace and easily accessible by tram (Holbergs plass) from the Central Station. They are also famous for their breakfast. Our exclusive offer has unfortunately expired, but you can still book by following this link.

Traveling on a budget?

Are you a student or apprentice traveling on a budget? We're arranging shared rooms for our young friends of BUA! Book here, and we’ll provide you with a single bed in a triple room of fellow conference guests only. This offer expires March 31st and is mainly reserved for students, but feel free to contact us if you need any help finding affordable accomodation.

When should I arrive in Oslo and how long should I stay?

We recommend arriving in Oslo on May 1st, as the program on Friday starts at 12:00 CEST, and leaving late on Sunday 4th or early Monday 5th. Read more about our schedule and program here.

How do I get from the Airport to the City Centre?

From the Oslo Airport: take the train to Oslo S or Nationaltheatret. Vy-trains are preferable, as they are cheaper and you'll be able to continue by tram or metro on the same ticket.

Arriving at the Venue

From Oslo S: Take the westbound tram nr. 17 or 18 from “Jernbanetorget platform F” to “Tinghuset” (2nd stop).

From Nationaltheatret: Walk towards the univeristy, through the gardens on the right, and turn right down “Kristian VI’s gate”.
